Have you got your tickets for this year’s North Tyneside Writers’ Circle reading event, Keeping My Soul? It’s a free event, and a great opportunity to hear from our wonderful members.
North Tyneside Writers’ Circle has been running since January 2017, and I’m so proud, as a co-founder and co-host, of where it’s reached since those early days. I remember sitting in the room in North Shields Library, praying that more than the hosts and guest would turn up! Happily, plenty of people did, and still do, with up to thirty writers gathering for our monthly meetings.
As a result, last year we organised Keeping My Soul, giving members a chance to share their work, and next week, on Thursday 27th June, we’re doing it all again! Click here, for more details, and to get your tickets. Although the event is free, booking is still essential.
This year, rather than sitting in the audience, I’ll be taking part, sharing hosting duties, as well as reading an extract from The Raided Heart.
Don’t forget, if you’re a north-east based writer, we’re always open to new members. Click here, to visit our Facebook page, and keep up to date with upcoming events and activities. Our next session is Saturday 20th July.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
