I can’t believe it! One week until Kindred Spirits: York hit the electronic shelves… Have you already pre-ordered your copy? If not, there’s still time, and still time too, to get involved in the online launch, planned for the afternoon and evening of the 31st January 2019.
We will have virtual food, drink, games and (real) prizes for you to win, and I cannot wait. The first time I had an online launch, I didn’t have a clue what I was doing. The fact that I thought it was fine to have the online launch at the same time as meeting friends to celebrate the launch in a pub demonstrates that. A pub without wi-fi too! For all those since, I have learned my lesson – there is nothing clashing with this one.
A couple of days ago, I was typing out excerpts from the series, to send to a blog, and I decided to include the opening section from Kindred Spirits: Tower of London, for that particular book. If you haven’t read it (humph!), then those lines are:
I know it isn’t the funniest opening in the world, but it IS still the first opening I wrote, when I started making notes for what would become my first novel, back in 2013, and I’m so glad that throughout the edits, it was never changed.
Typing those extracts up made me realise just how much I loved KS: Tower of London, and the series in general, and I really hope you enjoy KS: York just as much when it comes out in a week’s time.
Hope to see you at the launch!
